Freedom of information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) came into force on 1 January 2005, and gives you the right of access to information held by NHS Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 recognises that, as a member of the public, you have the right to know how public services such as the NHS make their operational decisions and how public money is used. The Act gives anyone a general right to request access to see official information held by public authorities such as NHS Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG. For further information, visit the Information Commissioner's Office website.

The Act reflects a national policy to shift from a culture of confidentiality to one of openness, where information is routinely available, subject to certain exemptions, to anyone who wishes to see it.

Freedom of information requests

Freedom of Information (FOI) requests are being processed by South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCWCSU) on our behalf. SCWCSU is hosted by NHS England and provides a number of administrative functions, including FOI requests.

Our publication scheme and disclosure log contain information that has already been published and is available to download. However, if you are unable to find what you are looking for on the publication scheme, details on how to make an FOI request can be found on our Submit a request page

If you are looking for information about how you request your own personal data, please refer to our Subject Access Request information.
