East Sussex Children’s and Adults Wheelchair Service
Commissioners within NHS Hastings and Rother, High Weald Lewes Havens and Eastbourne Hailsham and Seaford CCGs are re-commissioning the Children’s and Adults Wheelchair Service in East Sussex due to the current contract coming to the end of its term in July 2020. The new service will commence in July 2020 and will run for 3 years and 9 months until 31 March 2024.
The CCGs have built in an appropriate transition period from the contract award date to the new contract starting. This will enable an effective transition of services if there is to be a new provider and will limit any affect this may have on users of the service. The Commissioners will work with other partners and stakeholders to ensure that CAWS service users and their families and carers are informed of any changes in the arrangements and processes. Stakeholders will also be informed of any changes included contact details and referral mechanisms.
